LOGISTICS:
- Direct flights from London to Singapore are provided by various airlines and take 14 hours
- Public transport in Singapore is efficient and easy to use
- Various companies offer rental of baby & toddler equipment and deliver right to your hotel or apartment as needed. I rented a car seat through XXX in order to save myself from lugging the car seat around for 2 months of travelling and only using it for the week in Singapore.
OUR FAVORITE THINGS:
Singapore Zoo
- What I loved about the Singapore Zoo was how open a lot of it is, with monkeys swinging around in the trees above you and often no bars creating a wall to the animals.
- What the Toddler loved about the zoo were all the hands-on activities spread around.
- There are lots of animal statues that allowed him to get up close and explore, as well as some habitat recreations (the igloo was properly freezing!).
- At the time of our visit the Toddler was just 11 months old so I didn’t bother, but now that he is 2.5 I would totally do the breakfast with the Orangutans.
- There is also an amazing (and huge!) water play area. Just make sure to watch out for the big bucket that terrified my Toddler.
Singapore Botanical Garden
- Totally worth a visit on it’s own (we did the Children’s Botanic Garden on a different day) as it is gorgeous and big and totally free
- We spent the majority of our time at the National Orchid Garden(£). The Toddler was fascinated by the colors and textures and stairs 🙂
- We had a lovely high tea at The Halia while the toddler was napping. Super delicious chocolate mouse cake!
